August 2018 trades / pickups

August turned out to be a slower month than many of the previous ones. I was however lucky enough to come across a Phillips EGA capable monitor which was part of a system made up of an XT clone machine, 84 key keyboard and Epson LX400 printer. All in excellent condition. Along with the deal was a Phillips Vidpac G7000, 12 games and a Kasparov Sensor Chess board. As an added bonus the XT clone included a Seagate 10MB full height ST412 hard drive with I.B.M face place, ideal for migration into an I.B.M 5150 or 5160.

The EGA monitor was still however the real prize as it supports the higher resolution modes making the text modes crystal clear.
